CHESAPEAKE, VA (April 4, 2000) CollectingChannel.com (http://www.collectingchannel.com/)
a large converged Internet content provider in the collecting and
antique space, announced today that Chief Appraisal Officer David J.
Maloney, ISA CAPP was the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award
from the International Society of Appraisers.
The award was given to Maloney at the annual ISA conference, held
each March in Toronto. In his remarks, ISA President Richard
Casagrande stated, “The recipient of the ISA’s Lifetime Achievement
Award goes to a member who is known by all present in recognition of
his nearly two decades of service to the ISA. He is a family man who
has given selflessly to the ISA over these many years.”
Maloney served in a leadership capacity with the ISA from 1983
through 1999, both at the Chapter and the National level as Vice
President of the ISA. As ISA’s Education Committee Chairman, he was
instrumental in writing ISA’s Core Courses in Appraisal Theory –
courses he continues to maintain and teach across the country. He
has also written ISA’s Chapter’s Manual, the ISA Appraisal Report
Writing Standard booklet, and ISA’s Requalification Course. He also
served for three years as the ISA’s representative to The Appraisal
Foundation’s Advisory Council in Washington, DC.
“We are proud to have David as a pivotal member of the
CollectingChannel team, and this latest award affirms his leadership
role in the field of appraising,” says CollectingChannel CEO Mark
Stuart. For his efforts, Maloney has earned numerous other ISA
awards including the Lamp of Knowledge Award, Distinguished Service
Award, Member-of-the-Year Award, and President’s Award.
