ChannelSpace Entertainment becomes Founding Sponsor for Association of Online Appraisers
Society of Internet Appraisers Lands Founding Corporate Sponsor
(Chesapeake, VA – March 13, 2000) – The first-ever, independent professional society of Internet appraisers -- the Association of Online Appraisers, Inc. (AOA, http://www.aoaonline.org/) -- announced today that ChannelSpace Entertainment, Inc. (CSEI, http://www.channelspace.com/), a Chesapeake, VA based consumer-interest Web site developer, has become the association’s Founding Sponsor.

“We have been very pleased by the support that CSEI has given us over the past several months,” said David J. Maloney, ISA CAPP, acting AOA Executive Director. “This sponsorship solidifies our belief that we are offering an essential service to the online appraisal industry.”

The founding sponsorship contribution follows several months of in-kind services and support to the new association. Funds will be used to both promote the mission of the AOA and to boost its membership.

“The AOA is a critical component to online appraisals reaching broad consumer acceptance,” said Mark Stuart, CEO ChannelSpace Entertainment. “We are proud to be a part of this important effort.”

The Association of Online Appraisers was formed in an effort to establish standards for those involved with offering online personal property appraisals. The non-profit association has a two-fold mission: to promote professionalism and ethical conduct among online appraiser, and to provide the public with a benchmark by which they can gauge the quality of the online appraiser’s work product. The AOA also acts as an industry watchdog, alerting members to emerging issues concerning online appraisal practices, promoting interchange between the public and members, and establishing a codified set of standards to be used in all online appraisals. Membership in the AOA is open to any individual or group offering online appraisals including appraisal practitioners, appraisal management companies, educators and related organizations.

For more information, contact the Association of Online Appraisers at 757-321-1533, email info@AOAonline.org, or go to the AOA web site at http://www.aoaonline.org/.
