Your
Personal Property Specialists |
Established
in 1981, Frederick Appraisal, Claims & Estates
Services provides valuation services of depreciable
as well as appreciable personal property including
antiques and collectibles. We specialize in assignments
for casualty and moving damage claims as well as
in appraisals for donation, estate, insurance, and
litigation-related purposes.
We do not engage in buying or selling.
We feel that having no financial interest in the
property
being appraised allows us to provide our clients
with unbiased appraisal reports free of any conflicts
of interest.
We also recognize the importance of reports that
are written by appraisers who have been educated
and trained in appraisal theory, and with appraisals
that are written in accordance with recognized
professional appraisal standards. Accordingly,
our clients receive professionally prepared appraisals
that are written by Certified Appraiser David Maloney, AOA CM,
in compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal
Practice (USPAP)
as promulgated by The
Appraisal Foundation of Washington
DC. In addition, all appraisals are written to
the report writing standards of the Association
of Online Appraisers (AOA).
Unlike real estate appraisers, there is no licensing
requirements for personal property appraisers. Interview any prospective
appraiser and make the effort to learn more about him/her. Here
is a list
of questions to ask.z
