Riley, Ganse, Peuler Get Nod
Running unopposed, Art Riley recieved the Capital District's unanimous acclamation as Governor 2007-2008 during the Capital District Convention which was recently held in Rockville, MD. Also unopposed, Tom Ganse received the District's unanimous acclamation as Governor Elect 2007-2008. None of the three candidates (Dick Feeser, Charlie Adams, Jerry Peuler) who were vying for Capital District's Endorsement for the position of Kiwanis International Trustee received a majority vote on the first ballot, necessitating a run-off between Adams and Peuler. On the second ballot, Peuler won the endorsement.

Division 11 Conducts Key Club Officer Training

Key Club Gov. Sarah Smith and Lt. Gov Brett Morris conducted Officers' Training for Division 11 Key Clubs including Seaford, Cape Henlopen, Milford, St. Thomas More, and Sussex Tech. Mr. John Yore Principal opened the meeting and welcomed the students to Cape Henlopen High School (CHHS). Key Club Advisor, Ms. Millie Edgar from Sussex Tech and 2007-08 Kiwanis Div 11 Lt. Gov Allan Kujala also attended. Ms. Cummings, Kiwanian from Rehoboth Beach welcomed the students and invited the Key Clubs to participate in the Key Leader program, the Delmarva Kiwanis Lite the Nite Walk October 13 and Sea Witch Oct 26-27. The attendee learned about Officers duties, the projects for the coming year and suggested projects and fundraisers for each club. After the session, the group headed where else – to the beach. 89th Capital District Convention
- Epilogue -

By the time the dust settled there were 590 registrants to the capial District Convention held recently in Rockville, Maryland. Chairman, Charles Falck and his committee would like to thank all those who participated in making the event a success. We look forward to seeing everybody next year in Richmond.
