Also unopposed, Tom Ganse received the District's unanimous acclamation as Governor Elect 2007-2008. None of the three candidates (Dick Feeser, Charlie Adams, Jerry Peuler) who were vying for Capital District's Endorsement for the position of Kiwanis International Trustee received a majority vote on the first ballot, necessitating a run-off between Adams and Peuler. 2007 Harbor Party and Seafood Feast
by David Brandt

Mark your calendars now; the 15th annual Kiwanis Harbor Party and Seafood Feast is fast approaching. This year's event will take place on Thursday October 11 at Town Point Park in Norfolk. It's your chance to enjoy some of Virginia's finest seafood along with beer and wine as you take in the sights and sounds of Norfolk's beautiful downtown waterfront.

With the entire General Assembly facing reelection less than four weeks later, and the 2008 presidential primaries starting in January, candidates will be on the stump and issues will be in the air. But on the plates will be plenty of fish, scallops, clams, crab cakes, fried fish and famous Harbor Party Clam Chowder, the highly anticipated staples at this popular fundraiser for children's charities.

Presented by the Kiwanis Club of Norfolk and RBC Centura Bank, with numerous firms providing valuable sponsorship support, the Harbor Party has raised nearly $500,000 since its debut in 1993.

Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the gate and include all you can eat or care to drink. Please consider taking time out to enjoy a wonderful evening and, at the same time, help the children of Hampton Roads.
