Riley, Ganse, Peuler Get Nod
Running unopposed, Art Riley recieved the Capital District's unanimous acclamation as Governor 2007-2008 during the Capital District Convention which was recently held in Rockville, MD. Also unopposed, Tom Ganse received the District's unanimous acclamation as Governor Elect 2007-2008. None of the three candidates (Dick Feeser, Charlie Adams, Jerry Peuler) who were vying for Capital District's Endorsement for the position of Kiwanis International Trustee received a majority vote on the first ballot, necessitating a run-off between Adams and Peuler. On the second ballot, Peuler won the endorsement.

A REALLY great fund raiser for the Kiwanis Club of Bridgeville, DE

The Kiwanis Club of Bridgeville, DE, has one of the most successful on-going fund raisers in the District. For over 15 years they have run the "Kiwanis Chicken Bar-B-Que" stand every weekend over the summer. It's at the intersection of Routes 404 and 36 to and from the Delaware Beaches. DelMarVa District Trustee Walt Rudy and PLG Jeff Tull are part of the team hosting Gov. Bob and Nancy on the Labor Day weekend. Nancy's not in the photo because she's taking the picture. Makes sense. Bob says "It's the best BBQ chicken ever – no kidding!"

89th Capital District Convention
- Epilogue -

By the time the dust settled there were 590 registrants to the capial District Convention held recently in Rockville, Maryland. Chairman, Charles Falck and his committee would like to thank all those who participated in making the event a success. We look forward to seeing everybody next year in Richmond.
