Don Dudey Replaced as Trustee

The Capital District House of Delegates elected Don Dudey as Governor-elect for the 2008-09 administrative year. As a result of this election Don submitted his resignation as Trustee for the Mason Dixon Region.

In accordance with the bylaws of the Capital District and after consultation with the Lt Governors of Divisions 9, 12 and 14, it is my pleasure to appoint PLG Jim Jacobs as Trustee of the Mason Dixon Region, effective immediately. This appointment will continue until such time as the 2008-09 Lt Govenors of the Mason Dixon Region convene an election conference to elect a Trustee for the remaining portion of the existing term.

Jim Jacobs is a dedicated Kiwanian who is a member and Past President of the Mt Airy Kiwanis Club where he is recognized as a true leader. Jim served as Lt Governor of Division 9 during the 2006-07 administrative year and has served Capital District on committees since that time. Based on his Kiwanis background and his experience as a college educator, I know Jim will put Kiwanis first as he serves the District in this role. Please help me extend congratulations to Jim and his wife Beth (also a Kiwanian) on this appointment. Also, please forward this appoitment information the the 2008-09 Lt Governors.
