The
evening of October 9th was an exciting one for Tysons
Corner Kiwanians,
who gathered for their Member Induction and Installation
Night. The membership gathered at Corky's Grill in
McLean with members from Fairfax Kiwanis and McLean
Kiwanis, and Lieutenant Governor Steve Vajs from Mt.
Vernon Kiwanis. The club was pleased to induct five
new members (right): Shawn Thames, Rachel Brownlee,
Beth Brennan, Stacy Bruss, and Bill Kirchner.
Lieutenant Governor Vajs
retired the 06-07 board and installed the 07-08 board,
giving words of wit and advice along the way. The club
presented Immediate-Past President Maureen Frank with
a life membership into the Capital District Kiwanis
Foundation as a thank you for her fabulous work with
the club during her presidency. New Board members pictured

SLP Director Nicole McDermott,
Treasurer
Corey Jerome, Secretary Kristina Dlugozima, President

The 07-08 club board spent the closing of the evening sharing their plans for the upcoming year. One event in the works is the club's 10th Anniversary Celebration, which is being planned for June 2008.
