Ellicott
City holds Successful Pancake Breakfast and Craft Show
by Bob Scarburgh
On Saturday, October 27,
the Ellicott City Kiwanis held its 6th Annual Craft
Show and Pancake Breakfast. This event has become very
popular as seen in the above picture in spite of the
rainy weather. In addition to pancakes, they served
scrambled eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, warm apples,
melted butter, warm syrup, and blueberries. They also
served orange, apple juice and coffee. At the event,
the club sold Entertainment books and took orders for
Holiday Wreaths. There were a number of vendors displaying
and selling various crafts.

Kiwanis International President Dave Curry (right) and First Lady Eva Curry will
be visiting the Capital District in late January 2008. During
this special time our district will be hosting a number of
events for the First Family of Kiwanis. On Saturday evening,
January 26, 2008 Governor Art and First Lady Vickie will
host a reception from 6-7 pm (with cash bar) followed by
dinner at the Comfort Inn Conference Center, 4500 Crain Hwy,
Bowie, Maryland 20716.
