Kiwanis International President's Visit

Kiwanis International President Dave Curry (right) and First Lady Eva Curry will be visiting the Capital District in late January 2008. During this special time our district will be hosting a number of events for the First Family of Kiwanis. On Saturday evening, January 26, 2008 Governor Art and First Lady Vickie will host a reception from 6-7 pm (with cash bar) followed by dinner at the Comfort Inn Conference Center, 4500 Crain Hwy, Bowie, Maryland 20716. The cost of the function will be $40.00 per person. The menu consists of Herbed Baked Chicken with Garden Salad, Vegetable, Starch, Rolls, Dessert, and Tea or Coffee. Vegan or other special diet needs must be requested at the time reservations are made. There is limited assigned seating for this event. Please make your reservations no later than December 31, 2007 to guarantee seating. Tickets may be purchased from Capital District Secretary Treasurer Ellis Stroup. In addition, for those that may wish to stay at the motel that evening a block of rooms has been reserved for our use. The Kiwanis rate is 109.80 + tax and includes a full hot breakfast on Sunday morning. Reservations must be made by calling 301.464.0089 prior to January 5, 2008.
