Mount Airy Club Chows Down on Pizza to Support Key Club
by Bill Butts

A large group of the Mount Airy Kiwanis Club members plus spouses, family members and guests converged on the local Pizza Hut in Mount Airy on Monday evening, October 29, to share food, fellowship and fundraising support for the South Carroll HS Key Club. This was the second year that the Key Club has coordinated a fundraising night with the local Pizza Hut and each time, Mount Airy Kiwanis has enjoyed the opportunity to support the fundraising and share a fun evening with fellow club members and their guests. Pizza Hut provides the Key Club and other local service groups with a special flyer. For each person who brings in and presents the flyer when paying their check, Pizza Hut donates a portion of the amount to the service group. As you can see from the pictures above, this year, the Kiwanis crowd was too large for a single table in the restaurant. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and now look forward to the assistance and support the Key Club members will in turn provide to the Kiwanis Club for the upcoming Mt. Airy Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Calvary UMC in Mount Airy, from 6am - 12noon.
