Help Honduran Child
by Jim Knorr
Allis
Ferrara is a 10 year old Honduran lass who is in
the States through the compassion/financial support
of a group from Chicago and some personal help
from
Kiwanis. Allis has a rare thyroid cancer and
doctors in La Ceiba, Honduras were able to convince
the National
Institues of Health (NIH) to see if they could
find a cure for Allis' thyroid. She and her mother,
Maria,
are in Maryland staying with Kiwanian Jim Knorr
and wife, Beth when not at NIH for testing. The current
diagnosis phase is from 21 October - 2 November
2007.
Prayer much appreciated for Allis and the medical
team involved. Allis (child in center) at Naval
Academy noon formation.
