Governor
Art's Corner Charles Swindoll, a noted radio preacher and current pastor at the Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas, is an inspirtational writer that I have often consulted. Today I would like to share some of his thoughts on attitude. "Words can never adequately convey the incredible impact of our attitude toward life. The longer I live the more convinced I become that life is 10 percent what happens to us and 90 percent how we respond to it." more |

Reflections
on Key Leader Experience My involvement in the Key Leader program really changed my life, and my perspective on leadership. I have attended Key Leader twice-I was a student participant at Camp Letts in October, 2007, and a student facilitator at Arlington Echo in April, 2008. When I attended Key Leader in October, 2007, I learned the five key principles of service leadership that are the basis of this program: personal integrity, personal growth, respect, building community and the pursuit of excellence. more |

The 2008 Capital District Convention will be held this year from Thursday, August
14 through Sunday, August 17th in Richmond Virginia at the
Downtown Marriot and the Richmond Convention Center, just
a few blocks from the State Capitol. Hosted by the Heart
of Virginia Region of the Capital District, this year's theme
is "Prescription For Success,” and one of the big highlights-not
to be missed-is Friday night's Birthday Party at the Marriott
to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the District Convention.
