The 2008 Capital District Convention will be held this year from Thursday, August
14 through Sunday, August 17th in Richmond Virginia at the
Downtown Marriot and the Richmond Convention Center, just
a few blocks from the State Capitol. Hosted by the Heart
of Virginia Region of the Capital District, this year's theme
is "Prescription For Success,” and one of the big highlights-not
to be missed-is Friday night's Birthday Party at the Marriott
to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the District Convention. Fredericksburg
Club Presents $5000 Worth of Scholarships

The Fredericksburg Kiwanis Club just wrapped up their 2008 Key Club Scholarship Program by presenting high school $5000 of scholarships at Stafford, Colonial Forge and James Monroe High Schools. All three schools have very active Key Clubs and it was a privilege for local Kiwanis President Jonathan Pittman to recognize members of the Key Clubs with the scholarship awards,
The Fredericksburg Kiwanis Club just started their annual Harley Davidson Raffle Fundraiser (May 1st - July 4th). The funds raised will offset the scholarship expense and assist in funds to support University of Mary Washington Circle K and the new Builders Club that is being launched.
