Healthy Families Contribution The Kiwanis Club of Warwick recently gave a $500 contribution to Newport News Healthy Families Initiative, one of the club's community partners who mission it is to ensure that children in Newport News are born healthy, grow up healthy and come to school ready to learn. Warwick Kiwanis Club Supports Edmarc Hospice for Children The Kiwanis Club of Warwick donated $500 to the Edmarc Hospice for Children on May 27. The donation will assist Edmarc in its mission to ease the trauma of a child's illness or death and reduce the disabling effect of pediatric loss and bereavement of families. The 2008 Capital District Convention will be held this year from Thursday, August
14 through Sunday, August 17th in Richmond Virginia at
the Downtown Marriot and the Richmond Convention Center,
just
a few blocks from the State Capitol. Hosted by the Heart
of Virginia Region of the Capital District, this year's
theme is "Prescription For Success,” and one of the big highlights-not
to be missed-is Friday night's Birthday Party at the Marriott
to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the District Convention.
