The convention was held in the huge and hansome Orlando Convention Center. Flags, music, excellent audio-visuals, along with colorful, noisy, enthusiastic attendees applauded the performance of International President Dave Currie for his crisp management and sense of humor throughout the Convention. more

2008 Capital District Convention Aug 14-17, 2008: A "Prescription for Success"

The 2008 Capital District Convention will be held this year from Thursday, August 14 through Sunday, August 17th in Richmond Virginia at the Downtown Marriot and the Richmond Convention Center, just a few blocks from the State Capitol. Hosted by the Heart of Virginia Region of the Capital District, this year's theme is "Prescription For Success,” and one of the big highlights-not to be missed-is Friday night's Birthday Party at the Marriott to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the District Convention. more

Town Center Club Nets $8000

The Town Center Kiwanis of Virginia Beach has been very busy the past several weeks. On May 21st we held our annual golf tournament which was a huge success netting over $8,500 for our charities.This year we returned to the course at Little Creek Naval Base in VB. We continue to have our monthly socials at the local Town Center Restaurants that support our various charity events during the year. This month we meet at The Forbidden City restaurant who, as our signatre sponsor, sponsored $1000 towards our golf tournament. In July we will have a "nine and dine"---nine holes of golf then a dinner at one of the members home for socializing.
