The convention was held in the huge and hansome Orlando Convention Center. Flags, music, excellent audio-visuals, along with colorful, noisy, enthusiastic attendees applauded the performance of International President Dave Currie for his crisp management and sense of humor throughout the Convention. more

2008 Capital District Convention Aug 14-17, 2008: A "Prescription for Success"

The 2008 Capital District Convention will be held this year from Thursday, August 14 through Sunday, August 17th in Richmond Virginia at the Downtown Marriot and the Richmond Convention Center, just a few blocks from the State Capitol. Hosted by the Heart of Virginia Region of the Capital District, this year's theme is "Prescription For Success,” and one of the big highlights-not to be missed-is Friday night's Birthday Party at the Marriott to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the District Convention. more

Poquoson Club Donates $1000 to Relay for Life

The Kiwanis Club of Poquoson made another $1,000 donation to the York-Poquoson Relay for Life at its regular breakfast meeting on June 3, 2008. Mike Mellen, who accepted the donation on behalf of the local Relay for Life organization said, "Last year we made made mega site status with total donations of $351,000, and the Poquoson Kiwanis donation really put us over the top.
