City Club
by Dave Landis
The Honorable James Mathias of the Maryland House of Delegates,
District 38B (Worcester and Wicomico Counties), was the
guest speaker at the weekly meeting of the Kiwanis Club
of Greater
Ocean Pines/Ocean City. He's pictured on the left with
Kiwanis Club President, Ed Schaefer.
Delegate Mathias spoke to the group about issues that are
of major concern to most of us. He talked of "social
responsibility" as it impacts legislative issues about insurance, health, utilities, and other
issue of which some are oversights of the Economic Matters
Committee of the House of Delegates on which he serves.

the Downtown Marriot and the Richmond Convention Center,
just
a few blocks from the State Capitol. Hosted by the Heart
of Virginia Region of the Capital District, this year's
theme is "Prescription For Success,” and one of the big highlights-not
to be missed-is Friday night's Birthday Party at the Marriott
to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the District Convention.
