The convention was held in the huge and hansome Orlando Convention Center. Flags, music, excellent audio-visuals, along with colorful, noisy, enthusiastic attendees applauded the performance of International President Dave Currie for his crisp management and sense of humor throughout the Convention. more

Growth Team Audio Messages Hits Airways

The CD has a recipe for club growth that was proven by the Kiwanis Club the small Virginia town of Grundy. Believe me, it will work for your club if you just give it a try.

2008 Capital District Convention Aug 14-17, 2008: A "Prescription for Success"

The 2008 Capital District Convention will be held this year from Thursday, August 14 through Sunday, August 17th in Richmond Virginia at the Downtown Marriot and the Richmond Convention Center, just a few blocks from the State Capitol. Hosted by the Heart of Virginia Region of the Capital District, this year's theme is "Prescription For Success,” and one of the big highlights-not to be missed-is Friday night's Birthday Party at the Marriott to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the District Convention. more

West Richmond Club Supports Elizabeth House

On Monday, 6/9/08, the West Richmond Kiwanis club hosted a bingo night at the Elizabeth House. The Elizabeth House is a Golden Living Community in Glen Allen, VA that houses assisted living residents. With more lifestyle choices in an assisted living center, a resident can have the comfort of "home" but in a more stable and secure environment. The Elizabeth House has suites with staff that includes a dietitian, a medication aide, an activity coordinator, housekeeping and maintenance employees. Michelle Harper, Elizabeth House's activity coordinator, is one of our Kiwanis club members. Other members who came to join in the fun were Betty Allen, Tracie Grady, Marion Allen, Jeanne Grady, Jody Korman and Judy Hackler (not pictured). We all enjoyed the evening sharing some quality time with the residents at Elizabeth House. We hope to make this a quarterly event.
