The convention was held in the huge and hansome Orlando Convention Center. Flags, music, excellent audio-visuals, along with colorful, noisy, enthusiastic attendees applauded the performance of International President Dave Currie for his crisp management and sense of humor throughout the Convention. more

2008 Capital District Convention Aug 14-17, 2008: A "Prescription for Success"

The 2008 Capital District Convention will be held this year from Thursday, August 14 through Sunday, August 17th in Richmond Virginia at the Downtown Marriot and the Richmond Convention Center, just a few blocks from the State Capitol. Hosted by the Heart of Virginia Region of the Capital District, this year's theme is "Prescription For Success,” and one of the big highlights-not to be missed-is Friday night's Birthday Party at the Marriott to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the District Convention. more

Virginia Beach-Combers Club Holds Fun Day

Kiwanis Club of Virginia Beach-Combers' annual Ice Cream Social (Fun Day) at Easton Pre-School took place on Fri., May 23. Ten Beach-Comber volunteers served ten gallons of ice cream and boxes of popsicles to children, parents, guardians, and school staff. Beach-Combers divided into two teams. One served from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM. The other team served From 12:45 PM until 2:30 PM. Virginia Beach-Combers Ed Frame, Bob Horan, H. L. Marks, Barney Oldfield, Wilmer Poteate, Don Super, Doc Thrush, Stan Thurston, Dave Williams, and Bob Wilson volunteered their services.
