Pines/Ocean City Club Provides New Food Service at Concerts
in the Park
by Dave Landis
Pictured are members of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean
Pines/Ocean City providing a new service at the 10 weeks
of Ocean Pines Thursday nights Concerts in the Park. The "Dog
Team" provides grilled hotdogs, sodas and water, and chips for a reasonably priced
picnic-style menu available at every concert. Many patrons
at the first concert on June 19th said they plan to make
it a weekly purchase for a true night out with no cooking
and no "extra food items" to have carry to the event along with their chairs. Food is available from one
hour prior to the 7 PM concerts for all concerts throught
August 21st. Proceeds go to the Kiwanis Scholarship Foundation
to further education for deserving local high school senior
students.

a few blocks from the State Capitol. Hosted by the Heart
of Virginia Region of the Capital District, this year's
theme is "Prescription For Success,” and one of the big highlights-not
to be missed-is Friday night's Birthday Party at the Marriott
to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the District Convention.
