Capital District Regional Mid-Winter Conference Schedule Announced

Governor-Elect Candidate

In accordance with the Capital District Policy Statements, qualified members who have filed their intention of being a candidate for the office of Governor-elect may have their candidacy announced District wide beginning on the second Friday in January. The Kiwanis club of Reisterstown, Maryland, supported by all of the Kiwanis clubs in Division Twelve, has presented Don L. Dudey as a candidate for the office of Governor-elect of the Capital District for the 2008-2009 Administrative year. - Ellis H. Stroup, District Secretary-Treasurer

Kiwanis International President's Capital District Visit/Dinner Scheduled

Kiwanis International President Dave and First Lady Eva Curry will be visiting the Capital District in late January 2008. During this special time our district will be hosting a number of events for the First Family of Kiwanis. more

Poquoson Club Donates Toys and Money

On December 11, The Kiwanis Club of Poquoson, for the seventh consecutive year, donated a "truck load of toys" to the Poquoson Empty Stocking Fund, to to assist city councilman Frank Kreiger and his team in making Christmas a little better for children of needy families in the area. The Kiwanis members bring the toys to the breakfast meeting and load them onto a truck.This year, the Poquoson High School Key Club voted to join this worthwhile program. Pictured is left Key Club President, Nathan Courteret, presenting a check for $100:00 to Frank Kreiger on behalf of the Poquoson Key Club.
