Capital District Regional Mid-Winter Conference Schedule Announced

Governor-Elect Candidate

In accordance with the Capital District Policy Statements, qualified members who have filed their intention of being a candidate for the office of Governor-elect may have their candidacy announced District wide beginning on the second Friday in January. The Kiwanis club of Reisterstown, Maryland, supported by all of the Kiwanis clubs in Division Twelve, has presented Don L. Dudey as a candidate for the office of Governor-elect of the Capital District for the 2008-2009 Administrative year. - Ellis H. Stroup, District Secretary-Treasurer

Kiwanis International President's Capital District Visit/Dinner Scheduled

Kiwanis International President Dave and First Lady Eva Curry will be visiting the Capital District in late January 2008. During this special time our district will be hosting a number of events for the First Family of Kiwanis. more

Peninsula at Oyster Point Rings Bell

The Kiwanis Club of the Peninsula at Oyster Point supports the Salvation Army and their holiday fund drive by ringing the bell at local shopping centers. On December 14, nineteen club members took turns collecting donations at the Newport News Wal-Mart. Members of The Builders' Club at Hampton Roads Academy also joined in the event.
