Students from Indian River
High School in Dagsboro, DE had their first meeting
December 12 and agreed to form the IRHS Key Club. Their
Principal, Mark Steele, Faculty Advisor, Patrick Foley
and Rehoboth Kiwanis Club President Rosemary Cummings
signed the petition for the charter, along with new
officers, President Meredith Wallach, Vice President
Paula Antezana, Secretary Emma Cannon and Treasurer
Brandy Tankard. At their second meeting, more than
20 members attended and discussed future service and
fundraising projects, including beach cleanup and mentoring
children in the nearby elementary schools. The new
President and Vice President attended the December
evening of the Kiwanis Club, where they met Cape Henlopen
HS Key Club members, the Cape Faculty advisor and proud
Rehoboth Kiwanians. The first meeting in January will
be a Board meeting to train Officers and organize the
calendar with projects for the remainder of the school
year. Welcome IR Key Club to the Kiwanis Family.
