Governor-Elect Candidate

In accordance with the Capital District Policy Statements, qualified members who have filed their intention of being a candidate for the office of Governor-elect may have their candidacy announced District wide beginning on the second Friday in January. The Kiwanis club of Reisterstown, Maryland, supported by all of the Kiwanis clubs in Division Twelve, has presented Don L. Dudey as a candidate for the office of Governor-elect of the Capital District for the 2008-2009 Administrative year. - Ellis H. Stroup, District Secretary-Treasurer

Kiwanis International President's Capital District Visit/Dinner Scheduled

Kiwanis Club of Frederick member Bill Watson, left, and prospective Kiwanian Erik Krauss, continued a tradition that began over 50 years ago by manning a "Kettle" for the Salvation Army at the Giant Store on W. Patrick Street. on a cold December 15th. Other members of the Kiwanis Club took hourly turns in ringing bells and seeking donations for the Army.
