Westminster Kiwanis Club met at the Wakefield Valley Conference Center on December 4, 2007. Students of the month were honored for Academic Achievements in school and for community participation. | Sells Fruit
On December 8, 2007, Fellow Kiwanians for the Westminster Club manned the Fruit Trailer for Sales at the Westminster Wal-Mart. The Fruit was brought directly from Florida via Shipley Transport, Sykesville, MD. Over 850 cases were dispersed. All profits benefit the community including scholarships, Key Clubs at Westminster and Winters Mills High Schools, Circle K at McDaniel College, The Community Foundation, Supporting the Hoff Barn Project at the Farm Museum, Assistance to Westminster Child Care with playground equipment, The Aktion Service Club. Over 75 cases were donated to Food Sunday, Neighbors in Need, and local Church Soup Kitchens.
