Capital District Regional Mid-Winter Conference Schedule Announced

Governor-Elect Candidate

In accordance with the Capital District Policy Statements, qualified members who have filed their intention of being a candidate for the office of Governor-elect may have their candidacy announced District wide beginning on the second Friday in January. The Kiwanis club of Reisterstown, Maryland, supported by all of the Kiwanis clubs in Division Twelve, has presented Don L. Dudey as a candidate for the office of Governor-elect of the Capital District for the 2008-2009 Administrative year. - Ellis H. Stroup, District Secretary-Treasurer

Kiwanis International President's Capital District Visit/Dinner Scheduled

Kiwanis International President Dave and First Lady Eva Curry will be visiting the Capital District in late January 2008. During this special time our district will be hosting a number of events for the First Family of Kiwanis. more

Poquoson, Denbigh, Grafton Clubs Judge Science Fair

The Kiwanis Club of Poquoson, joined by a member from both the Denbigh and Grafton clubs, once again attended the Menchville High School's annual science fair. The Kiwanians acted as judges to decide which students best presented their ideas and findings on a variety of topics. The winners will next compete at the state level. Pictured L to R are, Cornell Owens, Brian Wilson, Jim Russell (Denbigh) Mike Condrey, Joe Shipes(Grafton), Jack Fishman, Ann Wilson(spouse),Paul Begansky and science teacher, Mr.Marvin Hedgepeth.
