Governor-Elect Candidate

In accordance with the Capital District Policy Statements, qualified members who have filed their intention of being a candidate for the office of Governor-elect may have their candidacy announced District wide beginning on the second Friday in January. The Kiwanis club of Reisterstown, Maryland, supported by all of the Kiwanis clubs in Division Twelve, has presented Don L. Dudey as a candidate for the office of Governor-elect of the Capital District for the 2008-2009 Administrative year. - Ellis H. Stroup, District Secretary-Treasurer

Kiwanis International President's Capital District Visit/Dinner Scheduled

Kiwanis International President Dave and First Lady Eva Curry will be visiting the Capital District in late January 2008. During this special time our district will be hosting a number of events for the First Family of Kiwanis. more

Byron Haner Club Kiwanian of the Year

President Charles Townes of Colonial Heights Club presented the Kiwanian of the Year Award to Byron Haner. Byron (to the right in the photo) was recognized for his support of all service projects and perfect attendance for 28 years. Byron consistenly is the first one to arrive for weekly meetings to set the banners and distribute the agenda.
