As in previous years, the Woodbridge Kiwanis Club supported the bell ringing for the Salvation Army for this holiday season at the Wal-Mart Store near Dumfries, VA. We started on November 24 and continued for five Saturdays through December 22. We had some very welcome support, as the Forest Park Key Club rang the bell on December 1, and the Gar-Field Key Club rang the bell on December 8. During the five Saturdays, we collected a total of $1956 for the Salvation Army. Additionally, as volunteers, we saved the Salvation Army $320, as they would have had to pay for help in ringing the bell. It all goes to a very worthwhile cause!
