KI Store Hit by Hackers

Almost daily, stories about credit card fraud and large corporate security breaches headline the news. Without question, these crimes are on the rise and criminals are becoming increasingly sophisticated. Kiwanis International recently became victim to such a crime when we learned of an unauthorized intrusion into its Kiwanis Family Store Web site and related database, hosted by a third-party provider. The perpetrator gathered credit card information and shipping addresses by illegally accessing our system through the Internet. more

Mason-Dixon Region Mid-Winter Conference Hosts KI Pres. Dave & Eva Curry

As if a well-organized (thanks, Bill Hand!) conference full of excellent workshops was not enough, the 2008 Mason-Dixon Regional Mid-Winter Conference was honored with the presence of Kiwanis International Pres. Dave Curry and his wife, Eva. Dave even joined Gov. Art Riley and Immed.-Pat Gov. Bob Cressy to promote the June 26-29, 2008 Orlando, FL KI Convention. Annapolis and Severna Park Clubs Activities

INTERNATIONAL KEY CLUB EVENT - Broadneck Hi School (Annapolis) Key Club will, for the 13th year in a row, sponsor a visit by the Queen Elizabeth School (QES) Thesbians of NW England March 14-17, 2008. QES students perform competitively at the DC Shakespeare Folger Theater each year and then come to Annapolis and stay in the homes of Broadneck Key Clubbers. On Monday the 17th they will perform a Shaekespeare mimi play in the school auditorium for students and Kiwanis club members!

ECUMENICAL WAY OF THE CROSS (WOC) AT MANRESA - The old Jesuit Retreat at Manresa on the Severn, now Atria at Manresa Assisted Living Home, is the site of the 9th Annual Good Friday WOC service. At noon on March 21st 17 churches and service clubs (Annapolis and Severna Park Kiwanis clubs) conduct this ecumenical outdoor walking of the 14 Stations of the Cross. Archbishop Spalding Chorus will sing appropriate music from 1130 - 1155. Atop Kiwanis Hill are the last three Stations, this area is maintained by the Kiwanis Club of Annapolis. Station VII is sponsored by Severna Park Kiwanis Club and member Lynn Eckelmeyer presents the liturgy in Spanish. All are welcome to attend.
