PFC
Trudy Schuyler started her career with Fenwick Island
Police Department part-time
in May 2005 and became a full-time Officer in June
2007. Trudy has been working in law enforcement for
well over a decade and brings with her years of experience,
which comes with age. Her initial police training
was at Delaware Police Academy. She worked with the
Milton
Police Department, with the Delaware State Department
of Probation, and was a trainer for the Dog Handler
Team. She is a member of Delaware's Search and Rescue
Team, which uses canines to respond to people in
distress. The SAR Team, the trained men and women,
and the trained
dogs, are true modern day heroes. She serves as a
Fenwick Island Police Department volunteer for lost
children.
In making the world a better place, she helps communities
find funding for water and sewage programs to improve
the quality of life of its many citizens. PFC Schulyer
deals with the day-to-day duties of a police officer,
in keeping with the Objects of Kiwanis, treating
everyone according to the "Golden Rule". Her work not
only makes her community better, but also makes the
world a better place. PFC Schulyer
has a good relationship with her peers and the community,
built on the foundation of respect, goodwill and
her ideals of "duty, honor, and community". For her
dedication
to the Fenwick Island Police Department and its programs,
the Rehoboth Beach Kiwanis Club recognized PFC Trudy
Schulyer as the Kiwanis Police Officer of the fourth
Quarter 2006-2007. Pictured, L to R, PFC Schulyer receives
