On The Bus Many corporate and Kiwanis Leaders make frequent reference to Jim Collins' book "Good to Great", even as I did in last November's eBuilder article "Preparing for Greatness". If you still haven't read the book, I highly recommend it; not simply because it might help you lead Kiwanis from good to great, but because you may personally benefit from the principles if you apply them to your personal and professional lives. more |

Vernon Kiwanis Christmas Tree Sales
a Huge Success! One of the major events of the Kiwanis Club of Mount Vernon is our annual Christmas Tree Sale. Every single member puts in about 12 hours of work by taking shifts staffing the lot. Members help customers select trees, load them onto customer's cars, and collecting money. more

Builders Club Very Active The Middletown Builders Club has 27 members. We have been very busy this year. These are some of the things we have accomplished. The first thing we have done was to collect $429.30 for UNICEF. All of that money went to helping children in Swaziland, Africa who are less fortunate. After that project, we did "Make a Difference Day" at Hood College, and we helped the Kiwanis Club of Suburban Frederick gift wrap fundraiser at FSK Mall in Frederick (left). more |
