Governor Art Riley and First Lady Vickie Visit Southwest Region

It's a long trip from Westminster, MD to the far corner of the Capital District's Southwest Region, but Governor Art and his wife, Vickie, spent the weekend prior to Thanksgiving doing just that -- as part of their official visits to Region 2, 3 and 8. By all measures, the trip was a success. more

Christmas Ornaments for the Ryan Stack Clark Scholarship Memorial Fund
by Nancy Cressy

As you remember at the DCON in Rockville, Nancy had designed and manufactured for her wooden Christmas ornaments which were sold for the benefit of the Virginia Tech’s Ryan "Stack" Clark memorial fund. Many were sold and there are more still available. Can you go back into a previous Builder where we had a photo of the wooden ornament and a write up and put in a small ad for them in this holiday issue?

The cost is $6.00 each and two for $10.00. Checks should be made out to the "Capital District Kiwanis Foundation" and put "Ryan Stack Clark Memorial Fund" in the memo line of the check. Mail payment with your return address to:

Nancy Cressy
12409 Frost Court
Potomac, MD 20854

Your ornaments will be returned by mail promptly. We realize that the amount for the check would be small, but it does add up for the scholarship memorial fund and you can always buy a few for friends of Virginia Tech and in Stack’s memory. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
