Q We have several dual membership Kiwanians in our Club. Which Club should
get credit for and report an Interclub visit?
A To earn credit for an Interclub, inform the secretary
or Interclub chairperson which club you represent. You
can represent only one club at a Kiwanis Interclub meeting
when members of both clubs you belong attend.
An Interclub meeting is when a Club hosts one or or more Kiwanis clubs (including
clubs in formation), or a Kiwanis club and any K-Kids,
Builders Club,
Kiwanis Junior, Aktion Club, Circle K Club, or Key Club.
All Clubs need a minimum of two Kiwanis club members to
attend. Visiting Clubs include a minimum of two Kiwanians,
plus members of K-Kids, Builders Club, Kiwanis Junior,
Aktion Club, Circle K Club, or Key Club in attendance.
Include a lieutenant governor if the LTG is a club member.
The Interclub visit has several benefits including sharing
of new projects and service activities, observing alternative
meeting styles and getting to know other Kiwanians.
For Clubs with 20 or fewer members at least two members must attend, for Clubs with 21-30 members three members, and for clubs with 31 or more members at least four members must attend. Use total Club membership as of October 1st of the current Administrative Year to determine the required number of Kiwanis members needed to attend all Interclubs. Clubs should strive to have one Interclub a month.
The Club Secretary should also report Interclub visits
on your monthly report, if the required number of members
attends a Division Council Meeting (a Kiwanis Club
hosts), Governor's Official Visit, International President's
Visit, Mid-Year Conference Interclub Luncheon, International
Convention Interclub meal function(s), District Convention
Interclub meal functions and Sponsored Organization Club
Meetings. When multiple Clubs attend a function, Interclub
credit will be given only with the host Kiwanis family
club, despite the number of clubs attending the function
(e.g., if there are Interclubs from three different clubs
present at the same function a Kiwanis club hosts, each
of the three clubs will receive an Interclub credit only
with the host club).
