Aktion Club of Hampton Virginia Organizes
by Monte Correll

On Nov 29, the Organizational Meeting for the Aktion Club of Hampton Virginia was held at the ARC of the Virginia Peninsula's headquarters in Hampton VA. Organizational work on the club was begun in March of this year between then Division 13 Lt. Governor, Phyllis Henry and the ARC of Virginia, and was carried on by Lt Governor Al Baker. The meeting was attended by 30 Division 13 Kiwanis Club members, ARC staff members, Aktion Club members and their parents. At this point, the Club has 14 prospective members and is being sponsored by all the Clubs of Division 13. This is the first Aktion Club on the Virginia Peninsula and we are all dedicated to seeing the club succeed. The ARC of the Virginia Peninsula was organized in 1953 and is dedicated to providing full, rich lives to those with disabilities.
