Kiwanis Family Care Center Dedication with KI President Steve Seimens
Kiwanis Family Care Center sign Kiwanis Family Care Center Fund Raising Chairman Roy Sheets, Jr. Nothing happens until the check is presented: Roy Sheets and 2005-2006 Gov. Yvonne Holley presents the $100,000 check on behalf of Kiwanis Divisions 4, 18, & 24 to the VCU Children’s Medical Center. Money was raised by a series of many different club fund raisers throughout the three divisions. Wow! What an accomplishment!
 
Kiwanis International President Steve Seimens delivers the highest praise to the Kiwanians for their success and to the hospital management and staff for their service to patients with cancer and their families. Kiwanis President has great fun in presenting and his audience of Kiwanians, hospital staff and guests delight in his presentation. After the hard work of raising the funds was done, Steve said “Well, that was easy” with his “easy” button. “Its always easier looking at a job well done. What’s your next challenge, Kiwanians?”

Lieutenant Governor Norton Gettes along with the Pikesville and Loch Raven Clubs hosted Governor Bob and Nancy at the Division 12 Governor’s Official Visit to Division 12. The evening dinner social event for division clubs was held at the Towson Golf & Country Club. First Lady Nancy Cressy receives a beautiful bouquet of roses from Division 12 Kiwanis Clubs
“Peaches” received the “Legion of Honor for 50 Years in Kiwanis” from Gov. Bob and wife Nancy. (Donald “Doc” Thrust is LG of Division 16 and Fred Woodall is LG for Division 21.) It was a most elegant evening. Governor Bob was given the honor to present a bouquet of roses to “First Lady” Chappie Thrift, widow of Past Governor Spike Thrift on behalf of Divisions 16 & 21. This is wonderful tribute to a gracious lady. Gov. Bob and PG Spike were PLGs together.  
Williamsburg Kiwanis Foundation’s “Colonial Polo Cup”

The Colonial Polo Cup is opened by a Revolutionary War Period Fife and Drum Corps.
President Larry Murphy chauffeurs Governor Bob and Nancy Cressy, as grand marshals, in the opening parade. President Larry officially toasts the crowd to open the Polo Cup match.
