Gov.
Bob & Nancy's Official Visit to Div. 2 at Golf Outing |
||
Governor Bob, Nancy and Past Governor Fred Terrill
of Lynchburg share the fun with some Kiwanis smiles. |
The Golf matches are done for the day … and
now time for the Southern style shrimp and ALL the BBQ fixin’s. |
PG Fred Terrill, Alexander Heppner, Dave’s
son and LG Dave Heppner bag the shrimp for sale in ice bags for guests
to buy and take home. Carry them on ice and freeze them in one pound
bags. They’ll be great! |
| For Division 2 and Governor Bob, this was also a Governor’s Official Visit. It was short on talk (but wonderful) and long on food (which was even better … can you imagine?). Shown are LG Dave, son Alexander, Governor Bob and Max Meador doing something official. Having fun and eating is allowed and encouraged. Thanks! | Summertime is for FUN and FOOD! The Lynchburg club
and Division 2 hosted their annual Golf Outing and Shrimp Fest on a beautiful
Thursday afternoon.
Division 2 Interclubs played and feasted on fresh shrimp prepared by “Master
Chefs” (l to r) Ed McCann, Lyle Schweitzer, and Max Meador who cook
them just right – long enough, but not too long. |
“Shrimp’s ready”! SO are we! So, Ed and Lyle serve it up and move them to the buffet line. Lynchburg … does it right! LG Dave Heppner makes a two day trip to Beaufort, SC, to select and drive back the shrimp on ice to ensure freshness. Can’t beat it, says the crowd. |
