| Official Governor's Visit to Division 13 | ||
| K-Kids of Hampton Roads lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the Division 13 Governor’s Official Visit to open the meeting. What an inspiration, even when one used the left hand. They’ve leaned the importance of patriotism and doing it publicly. That is inspiring leadership from Division 13! | Regional representative and District Trustee Floyd Brown with his wife Mary enjoy the good company and good dinner at LG Phyllis Henry’s Division 13 on December 9th, 2006. | District Trustee Floyd Brown, Lieutenant Governor Phyllis Henry and Governor Bob Cressy, salute Legion of Honor Award winner Joe Kalista who has 37 years of Kiwanis service to club, division and district. | And at Other Events... | ||
| LG Phyllis Henry’s Division 13 team got into the ‘Bob’s Builders’ mode with Tinker Toy sets – yep, your childhood tinker toys – at each dinner table, with a competition for the tallest and most stable structure. There was lots of creativity and spying on the competition at other tables during the contest. What IS that anyway, Ernie? The Jane Bryan K-Kids table, with a few Kiwanians helping, won. | Division 13 Lieutenant Governor Phyllis thanks Lorie Vega for her contributions at the podium at the Clarion Hotel Governor’s Visit on December 9th. | December 20th - At the annual Holiday Party at the Washington Golf and Country Club, the Kiwanis Club of Arlington honored Vincent Kirchner with a Legion of Honor for Fifty years service and Bankhead T. Davies with a Sixty year Legion of Honor. This is a combined total of one hundred and ten years of service to the Arlington Kiwanis Club and to citizens of Arlington County. Pictured are Past Governor Warren Kane, Vincent, Santa Governor Bob Cressy, Bankhead and Arlington Club President Alan Tonelson. Thank you for the honor, gentlemen! |
