Warwick Kiwanis Club member Ann Barber, better known to children as Mrs. Wishy-Washy, reads to pre-school, kindergarten and first-grade students at Sanford Elementary School in Newport News, Va., on Feb. 29 as part of Kiwanis International's "Read Around the World" project. In addition to hearing a good story, each child received a homemade book in which they could write their own story about Mrs. Wishy Washy's. The children also received stickers to decorate their books. Stacey Paull, Sanford's reading teacher, helped to coordinate the visit from Mrs. Wishy Washy.
