Rehoboth
Beach Spotlights New Member Patrick Foley
by Rosemary Cummings
Patrick Foley is the Rehoboth
Beach Kiwanis Club's newest member and has the distinction
of being the first Faculty Advisor for the recently
chartered Indian River High School Key Club. Pat was
born in New Jersey, graduated from the University of
Colorado with a degree in Geography and from Salisbury
University with a Master's in Education. Teaching for
more tan 10 years, he previously taught in North Carolina
and other Indian River District schools before joining
the Indian River High School faculty, where he teaches
Social Studies and Psychology. His hobbies include
fishing and biking. Residents of Ocean Pines, MD, he,
and his wife Heather a teacher, have two sons, Brendan
and Liam who accompany him on Key Club activities.
He shares the role of advisor to the new Key Club with
his sponsor, Rosemary Cummings, the Kiwanis Advisor.
Several Key Clubbers eagerly joined Pat when he donned
the Kiwanis Club cap for the first time. He plans to
wear the Kiwanis Cap and Key Club Advisor shirt to
service activities.

Final plans are underway for the Second Capital District Key Leader Weekend being
held April 25-27th at Arlington Echo in Millersville, MD.
The menus have been selected, the camp visited by Capital
District Key Leader leadership, and registration well underway.
All we need are for the Kiwanis Clubs to be sure their sponsored
youth participants are getting registered and subsequent
invoices paid.
