CKI Members: Willing and Ready to Help!
by Samantha Staebell, CDCKI Editor

CKI Members are just like any other member of the Kiwanis family, except of course, we are crazy college students! But, you would be surprised to know that we are not as different as you think. We all love to complete service, work with kids, and even work on a few fundraisers. A good relationship with your CKI club can be beneficial for all parties involved. more

Ocean Pines/Ocean City Club: Kids, Limos, & Safety
by D.J. Landis

Pictured is Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines/Ocean City Program Speakers Chairman (L) Graham "Jack" Caldwell with Blair Greentaner (R) of Gene's Limousine Services from the Eastern Shore of Maryland in front of one of the stretch limos from the Gene's fleet.

What's the tie-in? Kiwanis is about "Serving the Children of the World". Well, when it's prom time, coming soon this Spring, many parent have their teens use a limo service to get to and from the prom and the after hours activities for the safety it provides on that most memorable night.

In addition, Blair explained to the Kiwanians at the weekly meeting that Gene's Limousine Service is often used by the "Make A Wish Foundation" to transport children here on the shore when them come to visit as part of their wish. He also explained how many fundraising organizations use limo service as one of the prizes and for rewards for performance to transport volunteers. What often seems extravagant, often is of benefit in ways not readily realized.
