2nd Key Leader Weekend Apr 25-27!

Final plans are underway for the Second Capital District Key Leader Weekend being held April 25-27th at Arlington Echo in Millersville, MD. The menus have been selected, the camp visited by Capital District Key Leader leadership, and registration well underway. All we need are for the Kiwanis Clubs to be sure their sponsored youth participants are getting registered and subsequent invoices paid. more

CKI Members: Willing and Ready to Help!

CKI Members are just like any other member of the Kiwanis family, except of course, we are crazy college students! But, you would be surprised to know that we are not as different as you think. We all love to complete service, work with kids, and even work on a few fundraisers. A good relationship with your CKI club can be beneficial for all parties involved. more

Ocean Pines/Ocean City Club Community Service and Membership

Pictured is the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines/Ocean City Membership Chairman, Don Schmid, addressing the membership at a weekly meeting. Subject: Community Service requires membership to drive it. While the local club is one of the larger clubs on the Eastern Shore, it is also one of the most active clubs.

Some of the projects of the local club include fundraising for scholarships to local deserving senior students for continuing education via three annual pancake breakfasts, the upcoming Italian Dinner on Sunday April 13th (Call 410-208-6719 for reservations at $10 for adults and children under 12 at $5), the Carolina BBQ in the summer, The Duck Race in September, the Golf for Scholarships in September and the Holiday Fruit Sale in December, to name a few.
